That is the whole arrangement. We receive the firearm, log it into the bound book, run your paperwork and the state check, and give it to you at a time that suits you rather than one that suits a shop rota.
From any dealer, any online retailer, any private seller, any auction house. We do not refuse firearms we did not sell you, and we do not charge more because you found it cheaper elsewhere. That practice is the single most common complaint people have about transfer dealers, and it is the easiest thing in the world not to do.
Florida law caps the state background-check fee a dealer may charge at eight dollars per transaction. We do not bill it separately.

Our federal licence carries gunsmith privileges. Optics mounted properly rather than hand-tight, sights that end up straight, and a rifle that comes back cleaner than the day you bought it.
The published shop rate at the nearest large gunsmith counter in Broward is seventy-five dollars an hour, and eighty is common elsewhere in Florida. We are at sixty-five because there is no showroom to pay for.
There is no showroom here, so there is no showroom markup to cover. Name the make and model; we return with the actual distributor cost and add a flat fifty dollars. You see the invoice, you decide, and nobody attempts to steer you toward whatever carries the best margin this month.

Shops in Florida quote as much as twenty per cent and then add appraisal fees, minimum hold periods and a penalty if you change your mind. We take fifteen, photograph it properly, list it, handle the transfer and pay you out. Take it back at any time at no charge.

Identify what is there, tell you honestly what it is worth, transfer what you are keeping into your own name properly, and consign or lawfully dispose of what you are not. We take this slowly on purpose. No stopwatch, and no pressure to sell us the collection at a number that happens to suit us.

This is the most misunderstood change in firearm law at the moment, and a good half of what you will read about it online is wrong. Here is the accurate version.
Section 70436 of Public Law 119-21 set the National Firearms Act making and transfer tax to nil for suppressors, short-barrelled rifles, short-barrelled shotguns and AOWs, effective 1 January 2026. ATF's implementing rule took effect on 10 June 2026. Machine guns and destructive devices remain at two hundred dollars.

You still pass the background check. You still wait for ATF approval before you may take possession of the item. Nobody has abolished the registry, whatever a video told you.

Telephone and ask us directly. If we are the right shop for it we will tell you what it costs. If we are not, we will name a dealer who is, rather than string you along. That is the entire policy.
The Legislature passed it in the 2026 special session and the Governor signed it on 29 June. For that window, firearms, ammunition and firearm accessories are exempt from Florida state sales tax — reporting on the bill indicates accessories include suppressors, magazines, optics, holsters, slings, stocks and cleaning kits, with no price cap on firearms or ammunition.
Before you plan a large purchase around it, check the exact exempt-item list in the Florida Department of Revenue's Tax Information Publication. That document, not a news article, is what governs at the register — and we will have the current one to hand.

The narrow exceptions cover law enforcement officers, correctional officers and servicemembers, for rifles and shotguns only.
